COVID-19 NSW: Business, Individuals – Taxi Industry COVID-19 Support Package
OverviewThis program aims to provide support for registered owners of wheelchair accessible taxis (WATs) and currently operational taxis, who have been impacted by COVID-19.
The package will provide eligible owners with a subsidy per vehicle to assist with on-road costs such as CTP insurance and registration.
There is no need to apply, a cheque for $2,900 will be automatically paid to eligible registered taxi operators.
The taxi must remain registered for six months from the date of receiving the payment. If the vehicle is de-registered the support payment may need to be re-paid.
